Sukta 10.72
सप्तभिः पुत्रैरदितिरुप प्रैत्पूर्व्यं युगम् । प्रजायै मृत्यवे त्वत्पुनर्मार्ताण्डमाभरत् ॥
saptábhiḥ putráir áditi r úpa práit pū́rvyaṃ yugám | prá-jāyai mṛtyáve tvát púnar mārtā́ṇḍam ā́bharat ||
Mit sieben Söhnen schritt Aditi in das uranfängliche Zeitalter (yuga) voran; doch wieder brachte sie Mārtāṇḍa zurück – zu Geburt und zu Tod: Das Sterbliche kehrt wieder, um in Verkörperung ausgearbeitet zu werden, bis es neu gestaltet ist.
