Sukta 10.53
यमैच्छाम मनसा सोऽयमागाद्यज्ञस्य विद्वान्परुषश्चिकित्वान् । स नो यक्षद्देवताता यजीयान्नि हि षत्सदन्तरः पूर्वो अस्मत् ॥
yám aícchāma mánasā só ’yám ā́gād yajñásya vidvā́n páruṣaś ciki tvā́n | sá no yakṣad devátātā yajī́yān ní hí ṣat-sád ántaraḥ pū́rvo asmát ||
Den wir im Geist suchten – siehe, er ist gekommen: der Kenner des Opfers, der Einsichtige, der jedes Einzelne durchschaut. Er opfere für uns, die Gottheit in uns begründend, der zum Darbringen Tauglichste; denn er sitzt im Innern, in den Zwischenräumen des Herzens, verborgen sitzend, älter als unser äußeres Sein.
