Sukta 10.4
ब्रह्म च ते जातवेदो नमश्चेयं च गीः सदमिद्वर्धनी भूत् । रक्षा णो अग्ने तनयानि तोका रक्षोत नस्तन्वो अप्रयुच्छन् ॥
bráhma ca te jāta-vedo námaś ceyáṃ ca gī́ḥ sádám íd várdhanī bhūt | rákṣā ṇo agne tánayāni tokā́ rákṣota nas tanvò ápra-yucchan ||
Dir, o Jātavedas, gehören das Brahman (heilige Wort) und die Verehrung, und auch dieses Lied: möge es immerdar ein Mehrer sein. Schütze uns, o Agni, unsere Kinder und Nachkommenschaft; schütze auch unsere Leiber, damit sie nicht abfallen, nicht vom rechten Halt weichen.
