ग्रावा वदन्नप रक्षांसि सेधतु दुष्ष्वप्न्यं निॠतिं विश्वमत्रिणम् । आदित्यं शर्म मरुतामशीमहि तद्देवानामवो अद्या वृणीमहे ॥

Transliteration

grā́vā vádann ápa rákṣāṃsi sedhatu duṣṣvápnyaṃ níṛtiṃ víśvam atríṇam | ādityáṃ śárma marútām aśīmahi tád devānām ávo adyā́ vṛṇīmahe ||

Translation

Möge der Pressstein, laut ertönend, die feindlichen Mächte vertreiben; möge er böse Träume, Nirṛti und jede verzehrende Kraft abwehren. Mögen wir den Frieden der Ādityas und das bergende Heil der Maruts erlangen. Diesen Schutz der Götter erwählen wir heute.
