Sukta 10.28
एवा हि मां तवसं जज्ञुरुग्रं कर्मन्कर्मन्वृषणमिन्द्र देवाः । वधीं वृत्रं वज्रेण मन्दसानोऽप व्रजं महिना दाशुषे वम् ॥
evā́ hí māṃ tavásaṃ jajñúr ugráṃ kárman-karman vṛ́ṣaṇam indra devā́ḥ | vadhī́ṃ vṛtráṃ vájreṇa mandasā́nó 'pá vrajáṃ mahinā́ dāśúṣe vam ||
So haben die Götter mich gezeugt: stark und furchtbar, einen Stier der Kraft in jeder Tat, o Indra. Vṛtra erschlug ich mit dem Vajra, in der Trunkenheit der Begeisterung; mit meiner Macht öffnete ich den Pferch dem Gebenden (dāśuṣ).
