नृचक्षा एष दिवो मध्य आस्त आपप्रिवान्रोदसी अन्तरिक्षम् । स विश्वाचीरभि चष्टे घृताचीरन्तरा पूर्वमपरं च केतुम् ॥

Transliteration

nṛcákṣā eṣá divó mádhya āsta āpaprivā́n ródasī antárikṣam | sá viśvā́cīr abhí caṣṭe ghṛtā́cīr antárā pū́rvam áparaṁ ca ketúm ||

Translation

Dieser Menschenschauer sitzt in der Mitte des Himmels, die beiden Welten und den Luftraum erfüllend. Er schaut auf die allhin wandernden, ghee-glänzenden Ströme und unterscheidet zwischen dem früheren und dem späteren Zeichen — zwischen dem, was war, und dem, was kommen wird.
