निरु स्वसारमस्कृतोषसं देव्यायती । अपेदु हासते तमः ॥
Transliteration
nír u svásāram askṛtoṣásaṃ devy āyatī́ | áped u hāsate támaḥ ||
Translation
Als Göttin herankommend, ließ sie ihre Schwester Uṣas (die Morgenröte) verschwinden. Und die Finsternis, fortgedrängt, weicht zurück, gleichsam lachend, vor dem Maß, das die Nacht festsetzt.
