चतुरश्चिद्ददमानाद्बिभीयादा निधातोः । न दुरुक्ताय स्पृहयेत् ॥
Transliteration
catúraś cid dádāmānād bibhīyā́d ā́ nidhā́toḥ | ná duruktā́ya spṛhayet ||
Translation
Selbst vor dem, der reichlich gibt, soll man sich fürchten: vor dem heimlichen Setzer des Schadens; und nach dem übel gesprochenen Wort soll man nicht verlangen.
