उपस्तुतिं नमस उद्यतिं च श्लोकं यंसत्सवितेव प्र बाहू । अस्य क्रत्वाहन्यो यो अस्ति मृगो न भीमो अरक्षसस्तुविष्मान् ॥
upástutiṃ námasa údyatiṃ ca ślókaṃ yaṃsat savitéva prá bāhū́ | asyá kratvā́hanyò yó ásti mṛgó na bhīmó arákṣasaḥ túviṣmān ||
Er hebt Lobpreis und Verneigung empor und streckt den Hymnus aus, wie Savitṛ seine Arme ausbreitet. Durch seinen Willen ist er die unbezwingbare Tageskraft; wie ein schreckliches Tier für die feindliche Finsternis — gewaltig und ohne Bedarf an Bewachung.
