Sukta 1.144
अग्ने जुषस्व प्रति हर्य तद्वचो मन्द्र स्वधाव ऋतजात सुक्रतो । यो विश्वतः प्रत्यङ्ङसि दर्शतो रण्वः संदृष्टौ पितुमाँ इव क्षयः ॥
ágnē juṣásva práti harya tád váco mándra svadhā́va ṛtá-jāta súkrato | yó viśvátas prátyáṅ ási darśató raṇváḥ sáṃdṛṣṭau pitumā́ṃ iva kṣáyaḥ ||
O Agni, nimm dieses Wort an und erfreue dich daran; wende dich ihm zu, o Entzückender, aus eigener Kraft mächtig, aus Ṛta geboren, von lichtem Willen (śukrákratu). Du, der du uns von allen Seiten zugewandt bist, sichtbar und freudvoll— wie eine Wohnstatt, nährend erfüllt, im Zusammentreffen unseres Blicks.
