Sukta 1.126
पूर्वामनु प्रयतिमा ददे वस्त्रीन्युक्ताँ अष्टावरिधायसो गाः । सुबन्धवो ये विश्या इव व्रा अनस्वन्तः श्रव ऐषन्त पज्राः ॥
pū́rvām ánu práyatim ā́ dade vaḥ trī́n yuktā́m̐ aṣṭā́v aridhā́yaso gā́ḥ | subándhavo yé viśyā́ iva vrā́ anasvántáḥ śráva áiṣanta pajrā́ḥ ||
Dem früheren Geben folgend, gab er euch einen neuen Vorstoß: drei angeschirrte (Kräfte) und acht Kühe, reich an unversiegender Gabe. Gut verbunden im Bund, wie Sippen in ihrem Gehege, suchten die Pajras — obgleich ohne Wagen — śravas, den inneren Ruhm, das hörbare Ansehen der Wahrheit.
