आरे ते गोघ्नमुत पूरुषघ्नं क्षयद्वीर सुम्नमस्मे ते अस्तु । मृळा च नो अधि च ब्रूहि देवाधा च नः शर्म यच्छ द्विबर्हाः ॥

āré te go-ghnám utá pūruṣa-ghnáṃ kṣáyat-vīra sumnám asmé te astu | mṛḷā́ ca no ádhi ca brūhi devā́dhā ca naḥ śárma yaccha dvi-bárhāḥ ||

Fern von dir sei das Töten der Kühe und das Töten der Menschen; o Spender dauernder Heldenkraft, dein Wohlwollen sei mit uns. Sei uns gnädig und sprich zu uns von oben her, o Gott; und gewähre uns Frieden und Zuflucht, o du mit doppelter Stütze.
