Dieser kurze Paustika-Hymnus ist eine Formel der „Annahme von anna und soma“: Er lädt Indra und Varuṇa ein, den ausgepressten, honigsüßen Soma zu trinken und sich auf dem Barhis niederzusetzen, wodurch die Opfergabe bekräftigt wird. Speise — dies sei es. O Indra-Varuṇa, ihr Reiniger des Ausgepressten, trinkt diesen ausgepressten Soma, den berauschenden Trank, ihr Festen im Gelübde. Euer Wagen — dieses Opfer — komme heran als Erwiderung, zum Genuss der Götter, zur Schwester, zum Trinken.

O Indra-Varuṇa, am honigsüßesten, am kraftvollen Soma — ihr zwei Stiere, erstarkt darin. Diese Soma-Essenz ist für euch, ringsum ausgegossen: setzt euch auf dieses heilige Gras (barhis) und labt euch daran.
