Sukta 97

स्व॒धास्तु॑ मित्रावरुणा विपश्चिता प्र॒जाव॑त् क्ष॒त्रं मधु॑ने॒ह पि॑न्वतम्। बाधे॑थां दू॒रं निरृ॑तिं परा॒चैः कृ॒तं चि॒देनः॒ प्र मु॑मुक्तम॒स्मत्

Sanskrit recitationAtharva Veda 6.97.2

svadhā́stu mitrā́varuṇā vipaścitā prajā́vat kṣatráṃ mádhunéhá pinvatam | bā́dhethāṃ dūráṃ nírṛtiṃ parā́caiḥ kṛtáṃ cid énaḥ prá mumuktam asmát ||

Let svadhā be (with you), O Mitra and Varuṇa, ye wise: with sweetness here make the royal power thrive, rich in offspring. Drive far away Nirṛti, backward to the distance; even committed sin do ye release from us.

Svadhā sei mit euch, o Mitra und Varuṇa, ihr Einsichtigen; mit Süße lasst hier die königliche Macht gedeihen, reich an Nachkommenschaft. Treibt Nirṛti weit fort, rückwärts in die Ferne; selbst begangene Schuld löst von uns.
