पञ्चा॑पूपं शिति॒पाद॒मविं॑ लो॒केन॒ संमि॑तम्। प्र॒दा॒तोप॑ जीवति पितॄ॒णां लो॒केऽक्षि॑तम्
páñcāpū́paṃ śitipādám avím lokéna sáṃmitam | pradātópa jīvati pitṝṇā́ṃ loké ’kṣítam ||
A white-footed ewe, of worth approved by common reckoning, with five cakes therewith: the giver verily liveth on in the Fathers’ world, unperishing.
Ein weißfüßiges Mutterschaf, im Volk nach allgemeinem Maß als wertvoll anerkannt, dazu fünf Kuchen (pañcāpūpa): der Geber lebt wahrlich fort in der Welt der Väter, unvergänglich.
