Sukta 12
शालानिर्माणम्। इ॒हैव ध्रु॒वां नि मि॑नोमि॒ शालां॒ क्षेमे॑ तिष्ठाति घृ॒तमु॒क्षमा॑णा । तां त्वा॑ शाले॒ सर्व॑वीराः सु॒वीरा॒ अरि॑ष्टवीरा॒ उप॒ सं च॑रेम
iháiva dhrúvāṃ ní minomi śā́lāṃ kṣéme tiṣṭhāti ghṛtám-ukṣámāṇā | tā́ṃ tvā śāle sárvavīrāḥ suvī́rā áriṣṭavīrā úpa sáṃ carema ||
Here, even here, I set in place the steadfast Hall: in safety may she stand, bedewed with ghee. To thee, O Hall, may we draw near and move about—possessed of all brave sons, of good brave sons, of sons unhurt by harm.
Hier, ja eben hier, setze ich die feste Halle (śālā) ein: in Sicherheit möge sie stehen, mit Ghee benetzt. Zu dir, o Halle, mögen wir herantreten und in dir umhergehen — mit allen tapferen Söhnen, mit guten tapferen Söhnen, mit Söhnen, die von Schaden unversehrt bleiben.
