द्र॒प्सश्च॑स्कन्द पृथि॒वीमनु॒ द्यामि॒मं च॒ योनि॒मनु॒ यश्च॒ पूर्वः॑ । स॒मा॒नं योनि॒मनु॑ सं॒चर॑न्तं द्र॒प्सं जु॑हो॒म्यनु॑ स॒प्त होत्राः॑

drapsáś caskanda pṛthivī́m ánu dyā́m imáṃ ca yóniṃ ánu yáś ca pū́rvaḥ | samānáṃ yóniṃ ánu saṃcárantaṃ drapsáṃ juhómy ánu saptá hótrāḥ |

The Drop hath streamed—along the Earth, along Heaven, along this womb, and that which is the former. The Drop that moves along the self-same womb, in ordered course—this Drop I offer, following the Seven Hotṛ-calls.

Der Tropfen (drapsa) ist geströmt — der Erde entlang, dem Himmel entlang, diesem Schoß entlang und dem, der der frühere ist. Den Tropfen, der im selben Schoß in geordnetem Gang dahinschreitet — diesen Tropfen opfere ich, den sieben Hotṛ-Rufen folgend.
