अ॒पू॒पवा॒न् रस॑वांश्च॒रुरेह सी॑दतु । लो॒क॒कृतः॑ पथि॒कृतो॑ यजामहे॒ ये दे॒वानां॑ हु॒तभा॑गा इ॒ह स्थ
apūpavā́n rasavā́ṃś carúr eha sī́datu | lokakṛ́taḥ pathikṛ́to yajāmahe yé devā́nāṃ hutabhā́gā ihá sthá
Let the cooked offering, rich in cake and full of sap and savour, be set down here. We do sacrifice unto the World-builders, the Path-makers, who have their portion in the gods’ oblation: be ye here present.
Hier werde die gekochte Opfergabe (caru), reich an Opferkuchen (apūpa) und voll von Saft und Geschmack, niedergesetzt. Den Weltenbauern (Lokakṛt), den Pfadbereitern (Pathikṛt) opfern wir, denen ein Anteil an der Opfergabe der Götter zukommt: seid hier zugegen.
