Sukta 3.59
प्र स मित्र मर्तो अस्तु प्रयस्वान्यस्त आदित्य शिक्षति व्रतेन । न हन्यते न जीयते त्वोतो नैनमंहो अश्नोत्यन्तितो न दूरात् ॥
prá sá mitrá márto astu práyasvān yás ta āditya śíkṣati vraténa | ná hanyate ná jīyate tvā́ūtaḥ náinam áṃho aśnoty ántito ná dūrā́t ||
হে মিত্র, মর্ত্য যেন তোমার সঙ্গে অগ্রসর হয়—যজ্ঞার্পণে সমৃদ্ধ; হে আদিত্য, সে তোমার ব্রত (ঋত-ধর্ম) দ্বারা শিক্ষা ও শাসন লাভ করে। তোমার রক্ষায় সে না আঘাতপ্রাপ্ত হয়, না পরাজিত; কোনো অংহস্ (দুঃখ/পাপ-যন্ত্রণা) তাকে স্পর্শ করে না—না নিকট থেকে, না দূর থেকে।
