श्रेष्ठो जातस्य रुद्र श्रियासि तवस्तमस्तवसां वज्रबाहो । पर्षि णः पारमंहसः स्वस्ति विश्वा अभीती रपसो युयोधि ॥

śréṣṭho jā́tasya rudra śriyā́si távas-tamas távasāṃ vajrabāho | párṣiṇaḥ pā́ram áṃhasaḥ svastí víśvā abhī́tī rápaso yuyodhi ||

হে রুদ্র! জন্মিত সকলের মধ্যে তুমি তোমার শ্রী-দীপ্তিতে শ্রেষ্ঠ; হে বজ্রবাহো! তুমি বলবানদের মধ্যে পরম বলবান। আমাদের অংহস (সংকোচন/পাপ-যন্ত্রণা)-এর পার তীরে পৌঁছে দাও; আমাদের স্বস্তি দাও; আর হিংস্র শক্তিদের সকল আক্রমণ প্রতিহত করো।
