এই সৰু ইন্দ্ৰ-স্তোত্ৰটো এক সংক্ষিপ্ত সোম-আহ্বান, য’ত ইন্দ্ৰৰ বীৰকাৰ্য স্মৰণ কৰা হৈছে—দিবোদাসৰ বাবে শম্বৰক দমন কৰা, শিলৰ ভিতৰৰ পৰা “গাই/ৰশ্মি” মুক্ত কৰা, আৰু দানশীল পৃষ্ঠপোষকৰ মাজত বিজয়ী শক্তি স্থাপন কৰা। প্ৰতিটো ঋচাৰ কেন্দ্ৰত পুনৰুক্তি-সদৃশ আহ্বান আছে—“হে ইন্দ্ৰ, এই সেই সোম তোমাৰ বাবে চেপা হৈছে; পান কৰা”—যিয়ে স্তুতি (stuti)ক সোজাকৈ হৱিস (havis)ৰ সৈতে জোৰে। উদ্দেশ্য হৈছে ইন্দ্ৰক সোম-চেপণিলৈ টানি অনা, তেওঁৰ উল্লাস/মদ (mada) পুনৰ জাগ্ৰত কৰা, আৰু যজমান আৰু পৃষ্ঠপোষকৰ বাবে ৰক্ষা, বিজয় আৰু ঐশ্বৰ্য নিশ্চিত কৰা।

यस्य त्यच्छम्बरं मदे दिवोदासाय रन्धयः । अयं स सोम इन्द्र ते सुतः पिब ॥
হে ইন্দ্ৰ, যি তুমি মদৰ উল্লাসত দিৱোদাসাৰ বাবে সেই শম্বৰক বশ কৰি দমন কৰিছিলা—এই সেই সোম তোমাৰ বাবে, হে ইন্দ্ৰ, নিপীড়িত; পান কৰা।

यस्य तीव्रसुतं मदं मध्यमन्तं च रक्षसे । अयं स सोम इन्द्र ते सुतः पिब ॥
হে ইন্দ্ৰ, যি তুমি তীক্ষ্ণ-সুত সোমৰ মদ—তাৰ মধ্যভাগ আৰু অন্তভাগো—ৰক্ষা কৰি ৰাখা—এই সেই সোম তোমাৰ বাবে, হে ইন্দ্ৰ, নিপীড়িত; পান কৰা।

यस्य गा अन्तरश्मनो मदे दृळ्हा अवासृजः । अयं स सोम इन्द्र ते सुतः पिब ॥
হে ইন্দ্ৰ, যি তুমি মদৰ উল্লাসত শিলাৰ ভিতৰৰ পৰা দৃঢ়কৈ আবদ্ধ ৰশ্মি-গাভীসমূহক মুক্ত কৰি উলিয়াইছিলা—এই সেই সোম তোমাৰ বাবে, হে ইন্দ্ৰ, নিপীড়িত; পান কৰা।
Mantra 4
यस्य मन्दानो अन्धसो माघोनं दधिषे शवः । अयं स सोम इन्द्र ते सुतः पिब ॥
হে ইন্দ্ৰ, যি সোম-ৰসৰ আনন্দত উল্লসিত হৈ তুমি মাঘৱান দাতাৰ বল স্থাপন কৰিছা—এই সোম তোমাৰ বাবে, হে ইন্দ্ৰ, নিংচি উলিওৱা; পান কৰা।
It praises Indra’s famous victories and liberations and then repeatedly invites him to drink the freshly pressed Soma, so he grants strength, protection, and success to the worshippers and their patron.
The repetition acts like a ritual refrain: it ties each remembered deed of Indra to the present offering, making the praise immediately effective as an invitation and request for blessing.
On the surface it recalls a mythic act of freeing cattle/wealth; symbolically it suggests Indra releasing hidden light, inspiration, and abundance from obstruction—turning confinement into openness and clarity.
