Gāyatrī
এই সৰু গায়ত্ৰী সূক্তত ভাৰতসকলৰ নিজৰ অগ্নিক আহ্বান কৰা হৈছে—সৰ্বকনিষ্ঠ হ’লেও সৰ্বাগ্ৰগণ্য। তেওঁক দীপ্তিমান, বহুল আকাংক্ষিত ধন-সম্পদ আৰু কল্যাণ-সুখ আনিবলৈ প্ৰাৰ্থনা কৰা হয়। সূক্তখনে অগ্নিৰ পৱিত্ৰতা আৰু বিস্তৃত উজ্জ্বল উপস্থিতিক প্ৰশংসা কৰে, আৰু জোৰ দিয়ে যে তেওঁ ঘৃত আহুতিত বলৱান হয় আৰু প্ৰাচীন, বাছনি-যোগ্য হোতৃ ৰূপে যজ্ঞক সিদ্ধিলৈকে বহন কৰি নিয়ে।

श्रेष्ठं यविष्ठ भारताग्ने द्युमन्तमा भर । वसो पुरुस्पृहं रयिम् ॥
হে ভাৰতসকলৰ অগ্নি, হে যৱিষ্ঠ—শ্ৰেষ্ঠ—আমালৈ দ্যুমন্ত (উজ্জ্বল) ধন আনি দিয়া; হে বসু, বহুলোকৰ অতি আকাঙ্ক্ষিত ৰয়ি (সমৃদ্ধি) আনি দিয়া।
Mantra 2
मा नो अरातिरीशत देवस्य मर्त्यस्य च । पर्षि तस्या उत द्विषः ॥
দেৱৰ পৰা হওক বা মৰ্ত্যৰ পৰা—অৰাতি (বৈৰী দাৰিদ্ৰ্য-অন্যায় শক্তি) যেন আমাক শাসন নকৰে। তুমি আমাক তাৰ ওপাৰে পাৰ কৰাই দিয়া, আৰু দ্বিষঃ (ঘৃণাকাৰীসকল)ৰ ওপৰেও।

विश्वा उत त्वया वयं धारा उदन्या इव । अति गाहेमहि द्विषः ॥
তোমাৰ সৈতে আমি সকলো দ্বেষী-শত্ৰুবল অতিক্ৰম কৰি পাৰ হ’ব পাৰোঁ—যেনেকৈ জীৱন্ত পানীৰ ধাৰা বাধা দিয়া পাৰত ওপৰেৰে আৰু মাজেৰে বৈ যায়।

शुचिः पावक वन्द्योऽग्ने बृहद्वि रोचसे । त्वं घृतेभिराहुतः ॥
হে অগ্নি, তুমি শুচি, পাৱক, বন্দনীয়; তুমি ব্ৰহৎতাত উজ্জ্বলকৈ দীপ্ত হও। ঘৃত-আহুতিসকলৰ দ্বাৰাই তুমি প্ৰজ্বলিত আৰু বর্ধিত হও।

त्वं नो असि भारताग्ने वशाभिरुक्षभिः । अष्टापदीभिराहुतः ॥
হে ভাৰতাগ্নি, তুমি আমাৰেই; বশা-শক্তি আৰু উক্ষ-বলৰ দ্বাৰাই তুমি আহুত হও—অষ্টাপদী, বহু-পদ-ছন্দৰ দ্বাৰাই যি আহুতি আগবঢ়াই নিয়ে।

द्र्वन्नः सर्पिरासुतिः प्रत्नो होता वरेण्यः । सहसस्पुत्रो अद्भुतः ॥
ঘৃত-সাৰসুতিত দ্ৰৱমান আমাৰ অৰ্ঘ্যসহ, প্ৰাচীন আৰু বৰেণ্য হোতা—অগ্নি, সহসৰ পুত্ৰ সেই অদ্ভুত—আমাৰ অন্তৰত আহ্বান-কর্ম গ্ৰহণ কৰে।
