Frequently Asked Questions

It asks that whatever benefits the gods have already obtained for the worshiper—success, resources, strength, good fortune—be formally granted and made stable, with Savitṛ’s lawful sanction and Anumati’s assent.

Anumati personifies consent/permission. The hymn seeks not only a gift, but the ‘yes’ that removes hesitation and makes an outcome go through smoothly and remain secured.

No items are required by the verse. In practice, it is often recited at dawn or just before an undertaking, with simple cleanliness and focused intention; a small lamp or water offering may be added optionally.
