Sukta 8.39
स चिकेत सहीयसाग्निश्चित्रेण कर्मणा । स होता शश्वतीनां दक्षिणाभिरभीवृत इनोति च प्रतीव्यं नभन्तामन्यके समे ॥
sá ciketa sahī́yasā agníś citréṇa kármaṇā | sá hotā́ śáśvatīnām dákṣiṇābhir abhí-vṛta inóti ca pratīvyám nabhantām anyaké samé ||
Ngài biết bằng quyền năng mạnh hơn—Agni nhờ công việc kỳ diệu của Ngài. Ngài là hotā, tư tế của những vận hành vĩnh cửu; được bao bọc bởi các dakṣiṇā—lễ vật của sự ban cho đúng đắn—Ngài thúc đẩy và phá vỡ mặt trận đối nghịch—nguyện các quyền lực thù nghịch bị xua đi nơi khác.
