Sukta 8.22

पूर्वायुषं सुहवं पुरुस्पृहं भुज्युं वाजेषु पूर्व्यम् । सचनावन्तं सुमतिभिः सोभरे विद्वेषसमनेहसम् ॥

pūrvā́yuṣaṃ su-hávaṃ puru-spṛ́haṃ bhujyúṃ vā́jeṣu pū́rvyam | sacanā́vantaṃ sumatíbhir sobhare ví-dveṣasam anéhasam ||

Đấng ban sự sống từ thuở xưa, dễ được khẩn cầu, được nhiều người khao khát; Bhujyu, bậc tiên phong giữa những sung mãn của sức lực—hỡi Sobharis, kẻ dẹp tan chia rẽ, không biết mỏi mệt, chúng ta nâng đỡ người ấy, bạn đồng hành, bằng thiện niệm (sumatí).
