Sukta 7.2
जुषस्व नः समिधमग्ने अद्य शोचा बृहद्यजतं धूममृण्वन् । उप स्पृश दिव्यं सानु स्तूपैः सं रश्मिभिस्ततनः सूर्यस्य ॥
juṣásva naḥ samídham agne adyá śócā bṛhád yájatam dhūmám ṛṇván | úpa spṛśa divyáṃ sā́nu stū́paiḥ sáṃ raśmíbhis tatanaḥ sū́ryasya ||
Hỡi Agni, hôm nay xin hoan hỷ nhận lấy samid (củi nhóm lễ) của chúng con; xin bừng cháy rộng lớn, đáng được tế tự, dựng lên làn khói của Ngài. Xin dùng những lưỡi lửa chạm tới đỉnh sáng chói của cõi trời; xin trải rộng chính Ngài trong hòa điệu cùng các tia của Mặt Trời.
