Bài tụng ngắn theo truyền thống Atharvan này là một bùa chú cô đọng vừa hộ thân vừa công kích: khóa chặt mọi ngả đường, gieo rối loạn cho quân địch và bẻ gãy quyền chỉ huy của chúng. 【Diệt địch】Indra và Pūṣan đã lao nhanh, bao quanh mọi nẻo đường từ khắp bốn phía; nguyện hôm nay các đạo quân của kẻ thù đều rối loạn, bối rối đến tột cùng và tan rã.

मू॒ढा अ॒मित्रा॑श्चरताशी॒र्षाण॑ इ॒वाहयः॑ । तेषां॑ वो अ॒ग्निमू॑ढाना॒मिन्द्रो॑ हन्तु॒ वरं॑वरम्
Hỡi quân thù, hãy mê loạn; các ngươi sẽ lang thang chúi đầu như rắn. Trong số các ngươi—những kẻ bị lửa (Agni) làm cho rối trí—nguyện Indra đánh gục kẻ tinh nhuệ nhất, từng tên một.
