Sukta 6.8
अपामुपस्थे महिषा अगृभ्णत विशो राजानमुप तस्थुॠग्मियम् । आ दूतो अग्निमभरद्विवस्वतो वैश्वानरं मातरिश्वा परावतः ॥
apā́m upásthe mahiṣā́ agṛbhṇata víśo rājā́nam úpa tasthur ṛ́gmiyam | ā́ dūtó agním abharad vivásvato vaiśvānaráṃ mātáriśvā parā́vataḥ ||
Sa kandungan ng mga Tubig, sinunggaban siya ng mga makapangyarihan; ang mga tao ay lumapit sa kanilang hari, na sagana sa mantra. Bilang sugo, si Mātariśvan ay nagdala kay Agni mula kay Vivasvat, mula sa malayong dako, pinapasok ang nakatagong liwanag sa larangan ng gawain ng tao.
