FAQs

It links a named observance to a remembered episode and to Himavat, illustrating how Purāṇic literature maps practices onto iconic landscapes to stabilize cultural memory.

Himavat (the Himalaya) is explicitly named, characterized as ‘the best of mountains’ (acalottama).

The verse emphasizes that even arduous wandering and bodily transformation are framed within disciplined observance, turning experience into a regulated practice.
