एवं मृदं तथा तोयं प्रसाद्यात्मानमालभेत् । त्रिः कृत्वा शेषमृदया कुण्डमालिख्य वै जले ॥ ३९.३७ ॥

ఈ విధంగా మట్టిని మరియు నీటిని విధివిధానంగా శుద్ధి చేసి తన దేహానికి లేపనం చేయాలి. మూడు సార్లు అలా చేసి, మిగిలిన మట్టితో నీటిలో కుండం (విధిపాత్రం) గీయాలి.
