Varāha
Outer form supports inner devotion; clarity, wholeness, and proportion are dharmic requirements for an arcā meant for pūjā.
When commissioning or making a clay icon, ensure integrity (akhaṇḍa), clarity (aspūṭa-rahita), and proper proportion (neither ati-adhika nor vāmana nor vakra).
A clay icon for worship should be clear in form and unbroken; it should not be overly large, too small (dwarfish), or crooked.
Following these standards supports ritual propriety and effective worship; defective icons (broken/indistinct/crooked) imply doṣa leading to diminished merit and inauspiciousness in worship.

No specific geographic location is named in this verse; it is a general ritual-technical instruction.
