kṣamā-yukto dāna-śīlo na preto jāyate naraḥ || ekādaśīṃ sitāṃ kṛṣṇāṃ saptamīṃ vā caturdaśīm

Translation

క్షమాగుణంతో కూడి దానశీలుడైన మనిషి ప్రేతగా జన్మించడు. శుక్లపక్షములో గానీ కృష్ణపక్షములో గానీ ఏకాదశి, లేదా సప్తమి, లేదా చతుర్దశి (వ్రతం) ఆచరించుట వలన (ఈ ఫలం కలుగుతుంది).
