aṣṭāṣṭamī tv amāvāsyā ubhe pakṣe caturdaśī | asnātānāṃ gatiṃ yāsyām yahaṃ vai nāgame punaḥ ||
అష్టమి, అష్టాష్టమి, అమావాస్య, అలాగే రెండు పక్షాల చతుర్దశి—నేను మళ్లీ రాకపోతే స్నానం చేయని వారి గతిని నేను పొందుదును।
Varāha (default, dialogue framework)
It documents the importance of tithi-based observances and purity practices (notably snāna) in Purāṇic ritual culture, expressed through a heightened vow-like penalty.
No location is identified; the verse is calendrical and normative rather than topographical.
It stresses disciplined observance and purity norms tied to specific lunar days, again framed as an oath contingent on the speaker’s return.
