The Sacred Greatness of Lohārgala
The ‘Iron-Bolt’ Tīrtha
gatvā bṛhaspaterlokaṃ munikanyābhimoditaḥ || athātra muñcate prāṇānmama lokaṃ samāśritaḥ
Varāha (default dialogue frame)
It demonstrates a layered cosmology where tīrtha practice yields access to named lokas, while the narrative still pivots toward the speaker’s superior ‘world’ as final refuge.
The verse continues the Bṛhaspati-kuṇḍa context; “here/atra” indicates the ritual site where the described transition culminates.
The text valorizes detachment at life’s end and frames ‘refuge’ (samāśraya) as the culmination of disciplined practice rather than mere enjoyment of reward.
