The Sacred Greatness of Lohārgala
The ‘Iron-Bolt’ Tīrtha
Uttara Bhāga · Tīrtha-Māhātmya (Merit Outcomes and World-Transitions)

Varāha
Curious; receiving karmic mapping of acts to lokas
What loka is attained by one devoted to Varāha’s prescribed rites, and what is the significance of relinquishing prāṇa ‘here’?
Right action dedicated to the Lord shapes destiny (gati) and makes the end of life a consecrated offering.
Perform daily and pilgrimage rites as īśvara-arpita (offered to the Lord); cultivate steadiness so that the final moment is not fear-driven but dharma-driven.
‘Mama karma’ frames devotion as yajña-oriented action offered to the Lord; the ascent to a ṛṣi-loka (Aṅgiras) reflects alignment with mantra, tapas, and sacred fire lineage.
Aṅgiras is linked with aṅgirasas and fire-principle; the devotee’s karma becomes oblation, and the tīrtha becomes the sacrificial ground where prāṇa is finally offered.
Karma-yoga leading to citta-śuddhi and higher gati; devotion (bhakti) sanctifies action, preparing for knowledge or higher post-mortem paths.
Devotion to the Lord’s prescribed acts (mama karma-parāyaṇa) leads to Aṅgiras-loka and enables auspicious prāṇa-tyāga at the sacred spot.
Observance yields happiness-sharing in Aṅgiras’ world and a meritorious death at the tīrtha; neglect of prescribed acts forfeits the stated loka-fruit.
Varāha Purāṇa 151.52.0 (similar ‘atra prāṇān muñcate’ with detachment); Varāha Purāṇa 151.56.0 (transition from Agni-loka to Varāha’s loka; kunda descriptions)
It demonstrates a standard Purāṇic linkage between ritual practice and cosmological ‘worlds’ (lokas), offering a map of merit outcomes embedded in narrative geography.
The verse continues the same tīrtha sequence; the specific site is implied by context rather than newly named here.
Practice steadiness in disciplined action (karmaparāyaṇatā) and cultivate readiness to relinquish life without clinging, aligning conduct with an ordered moral-ritual framework.
