Varāha (default dialogue frame; speaker not explicit in excerpt)
It reflects a common Purāṇic narrative technique: legitimizing teachings through remembered lineages, past lives, and sage authority, situating doctrinal material (here, pitṛ-related instruction) within an inherited textual tradition.
No geographic toponym appears in this verse fragment; it is primarily doctrinal and narrative (memory of births) rather than place-specific.
The verse foregrounds continuity of knowledge and responsibility across generations—implicitly supporting careful remembrance and transmission of ancestral and cultural practices without prescribing coercive observance.
