tato 'pi saṃsthite tatra yādavānāṃ kulodvahe || tatra brahmarṣiparamaḥ sālaṅkāyana eva ca ||
Varāha (default dialogue framework)
It links dynastic narrative with ṛṣi authority, reflecting how Purāṇas validate sacred sites and practices through renowned sages.
The verse uses “tatra” (there) without naming the place; subsequent verses in the fragment point toward Śālagrāma and a mountain setting.
It implies the cultural value of ascetic-scholarly authority (ṛṣi presence) as a legitimizing force for dharma and place-based traditions.
