Avadhuta Upanishad 16 — Verse 16

व्याचक्षतां ते शास्त्राणि वेदानध्यापयन्तु वा । येऽत्राधिकारिणो मे तु नाधिकारोऽक्रियत्वतः ॥१६॥

व्याचक्षताम् । ते । शास्त्राणि । वेदान् । अध्यापयन्तु । वा । ये । अत्र । अधिकारिणः । मे । तु । न । अधिकारः । अक्रियत्वतः ॥१६॥

IAST Transliteration

vyācakṣatāṃ te śāstrāṇi vedān adhyāpayantu vā | ye 'trādhikāriṇo me tu nādhikāro 'kriyatvataḥ ||16||

Translation

ఇక్కడ అధికారం ఉన్నవారు శాస్త్రాలను వ్యాఖ్యానించుగాక, లేదా వేదాలను బోధించుగాక. కానీ నాకు అక్రియత్వం, కర్తృత్వాభావం వలన అటువంటి అధికారం లేదు॥१६॥

Academic Translation

Let them expound the treatises, or even teach the Vedas—those who are qualified for that here. But for me there is no such entitlement, because of (my) non-agency/non-performance of action.
