Transliteration

prá yé me bandhv-eṣé gā́m vócanta sūráyaḥ pṛ́śnim vócanta mātáram | ádhā pitáram iṣmíṇaṁ rudráṁ vócanta śíkvasāḥ ||

Translation

ఋతంలో బంధుత్వాన్ని కోరువారు—ఆ సూరులు నాకు ముందుగా ప్రకటిస్తారు: ‘గౌ’ అని; పృశ్నిని ‘మాత’ అని ప్రకటిస్తారు. ఆపై ‘పిత’—ప్రేరేపక రుద్రుడు, ఆ ఇష్మిణం (ఉద్వేగక/బలవంతుడు)—అని ప్రకటిస్తారు; ప్రేరిత వాక్కు గల శిక్వసులు, మహాబలులు.
