अव क्रन्द दक्षिणतो गृहाणां सुमङ्गलो भद्रवादी शकुन्ते । मा नः स्तेन ईशत माघशंसो बृहद्वदेम विदथे सुवीराः ॥

Transliteration

áva kranda dakṣiṇató gṛhā́ṇāṃ sumaṅgaló bhadravādī́ śakunte | mā́ naḥ stená ī́śata mā́ aghaśáṃso bṛhád vadema vidáthe suvī́rāḥ ||

Translation

ఓ శకునే! మా గృహాల కుడి (దక్షిణ) వైపునుంచి మా కొరకు కేక వేయి; నీవు సుమంగళుడు, భద్రవాది. మాపై దొంగను పాలించే శక్తి ఏదీ అధికారం చేయనీయకుము; దుష్ట-కీర్తి (మాఘశంస) గల ప్రభావం పైచేయి కాకూడదు. విదథ (పవిత్ర సభ)లో మేము ‘బృహత్’ను ఉచ్చరించి, సువీరులు—వీరసంపదతో—అగుదుము.
