इममञ्जस्पामुभये अकृण्वत धर्माणमग्निं विदथस्य साधनम् । अक्तुं न यह्वमुषसः पुरोहितं तनूनपातमरुषस्य निंसते ॥

imám añjaspā́m ubháye akṛṇvata dharmā́ṇam agníṃ vidáthasya sā́dhanam | aktúṃ na yahvám uṣásaḥ puróhitaṃ tanūnapātam aruṣásya niṃsate ||

దీప్తితో అభ్యంజనం చేసే వేగవంతుడైన అగ్నిని ఉభయము (ద్యావా–పృథివీ/రెండు పక్షాలు) ధర్మధారకుడిగా, విదథ (సభా–యజ్ఞ) సాధకుడిగా చేసాయి. రాత్రి జ్వాలవలె ఆ యహ్వ (వేగశాలి)ని ఉషస్సులు పురోహితునిగా ముందుంచుతారు; అరుష (రుద్ర-తేజస్సు) యొక్క తనూనపాత్ స్థాపితుడవుతాడు.
