प्र ये शुम्भन्ते जनयो न सप्तयो यामन्रुद्रस्य सूनवः सुदंससः । रोदसी हि मरुतश्चक्रिरे वृधे मदन्ति वीरा विदथेषु घृष्वयः ॥
prá yé śúmbhante jánayo ná saptáyo yā́man rudrásya sū́navaḥ sudáṃsasaḥ | ródasī hí marútaś cakriré vṛdhé mádanti vīrā́ vidáthēṣu ghṛ́ṣvayaḥ ||
దీప్తిమంతమైన స్త్రీల వలె తమను అలంకరించుకొని, వేగవంతమైన అశ్వాల వలె ముందుకు కదిలేవారు—రుద్రుని సూనవః, సుదంసః (ఉత్తమ శక్తి‑సంపన్నులు) అయిన మరుతులు. వృద్ధికోసం వారు ద్యావా‑పృథివీ (రెండు లోకాలు) ను నిర్మించారు; ఈ వీరులు విదథేషు (యజ్ఞసభలలో) ఉల్లసిస్తారు, ప్రకాశమయ తేజస్సులో ఉగ్రంగా.
