Sukta 1.71
मनो न योऽध्वनः सद्य एत्येकः सत्रा सूरो वस्व ईशे । राजाना मित्रावरुणा सुपाणी गोषु प्रियममृतं रक्षमाणा ॥
manó na yó ’dhvánaḥ sadyá éty ékaḥ satrā́ sū́ro vásva īśe | rājānā mitrā́varuṇā supāṇī góṣu priyám amṛ́taṃ rákṣamāṇā ||
మనస్సులా మార్గంలో వెంటనే సాగేవాడు—ఒకడు, సదా-స్థితుడు—అతడే సూర్యరూపుడై వసు (సంపద) పై అధిపత్యం వహిస్తాడు. శుభహస్తులైన ఇద్దరు రాజులు మిత్ర–వరుణులు, గో-రశ్ముల (గోవులు) మధ్య ప్రియమైన అమృత నిధిని కాపాడుతారు.
