Sukta 1.56
स तुर्वणिर्महाँ अरेणु पौंस्ये गिरेर्भृष्टिर्न भ्राजते तुजा शवः । येन शुष्णं मायिनमायसो मदे दुध्र आभूषु रामयन्नि दामनि ॥
sá turváṇir mahā́ṃ aréṇu paúṃsye girér bhṛṣṭír ná bhrājate tujā́ śávaḥ | yénā śúṣṇaṃ māyínam āyásō máde dudhrá ābhū́ṣu rā́mayann ní dā́mani ||
అతడు తుర్వణి—ఉద్రిక్త వేగగామి—పౌరుషంలో మహాన్, ధూళిరహితుడు; పర్వతపు మెరుపు దెబ్బలా అతని ప్రేరక బలం ప్రకాశిస్తుంది. అదే శక్తితో, ‘అయస్’ (ఇనుములా అచంచల) మదంలో, మాయావి శుష్ణను అతడు నొక్కి పడేసాడు; దాడుల మధ్య అతన్ని వశపరచి, బంధనాలలో గట్టిగా కట్టివేశాడు.
