Sukta 1.124
अवेयमश्वैद्युवतिः पुरस्ताद्युङ्क्ते गवामरुणानामनीकम् । वि नूनमुच्छादसति प्र केतुर्गृहंगृहमुप तिष्ठाते अग्निः ॥
avéyam aśváid yuvatíḥ purástād yuṅkté gávām aruṇā́nām anī́kam | ví nū́nám ucchā́d ásati prá ketúr gṛháṃ-gṛ́ham úpa tiṣṭhāte agníḥ ||
చూడుము, ఈ యువతి ఉషస్ ముందునుండి అశ్వాలతో వస్తుంది; అరుణవర్ణ గోవుల—కాంతి యొక్క ఎర్రని వరుసల—అనీకం (ముందుబాగం) ఆమె యోక్తుంది. ఇప్పుడు ఆమె విస్తారంగా ఉదయించింది; మేల్కొలుపు యొక్క కేతు ప్రకాశిస్తుంది—అగ్ని గృహం గృహం వద్ద లేచి నిలుస్తాడు.
