Sukta 1.123
यदद्य भागं विभजासि नृभ्य उषो देवि मर्त्यत्रा सुजाते । देवो नो अत्र सविता दमूना अनागसो वोचति सूर्याय ॥
yád adyá bhā́gaṃ vi-bhájāsi nṛ́bhya uṣó devi martyá-trā su-jāte | devó no átra savitā́ damū́nā anā́gaso vocati sū́ryāya ||
ఈ రోజు నీవు మనుష్యులకు భాగాన్ని పంచినప్పుడు, ఓ ఉషా దేవి, సుజాతా, ఈ మర్త్యక్షేత్రంలో—అప్పుడు మనలోని దేవుడు సవితా, దమూనా, మనలను సూర్యునికై ‘అనాఘ’ (నిర్దోషులు) అని ప్రకటించుచున్నాడు—ఉన్నత కాంతిని స్వీకరించుటకు యోగ్యులమని.
