क्षेत्रमिव वि ममुस्तेजनेनँ एकं पात्रमृभवो जेहमानम् । उपस्तुता उपमं नाधमाना अमर्त्येषु श्रव इच्छमानाः ॥
Transliteration
kṣétram iva ví mamús téjanenam ékaṃ pā́tram ṛ́bhavo jéhamānam | úpa-stutā upa-máṃ nā́dhamānā amártyeṣu śráva icchámānāḥ ||
Translation
పొలాన్ని కొలిచినట్లే, కొలత-తాడుతో వారు ఆ ఒక్క వణికే పాత్రను కొలిచారు. స్తుతింపబడినవారై, పరమ ఉపమ వైపు సాధన చేస్తూ, అమర్త్యుల మధ్య అవినాశి ‘శ్రవస్’ (యశస్సు) కోరారు.
