स सूनुभिर्न रुद्रेभिॠभ्वा नृषाह्ये सासह्वाँ अमित्रान् । सनीळेभिः श्रवस्यानि तूर्वन्मरुत्वान्नो भवत्विन्द्र ऊती ॥

sá sūnúbhir ná rudrébhir ṛ́bhvā nṛṣā́hye sāsahvā́n amítrān | sanī́ḷebhiḥ śravasyā́ni tū́rvan marútvān no bhavatu índra ūtī́ ||

అతడు, సూనుభులతో—రుద్రులవలె—‘నృసాహ్య’ (నరజయకర) సమరంలో అమిత్రులను జయించువాడు; ఒకే ‘నీళ’ (ఒకే ఆశ్రయ/గూడు) గల సఖులతో, ‘శ్రవస్య’ (యశోమయ) కార్యాల వైపు వేగంగా నడిపించువాడు—అటువంటి మరుత్వాన్ ఇంద్రుడు మనకు ‘ఊతి’ కావుగాక.
