अयमिक्ष्वाकुदायादस्त्रिशंकुरिति विश्रुत:।धर्मिष्ठश्च वदान्यश्च मां चैव शरणं गत:।।।।तेनानेन शरीरेण देवलोकजिगीषया।
ayam ikṣvākudāyādas triśaṅkur iti viśrutaḥ | dharmiṣṭhaś ca vadānyaś ca māṃ caiva śaraṇaṃ gataḥ || tenānena śarīreṇa devalokajigīṣayā ||
ఇతడు ఇక్ష్వాకువంశజుడైన ‘త్రిశంకు’ అని ప్రసిద్ధుడు; ధర్మనిష్ఠుడు, దానశీలుడు; ఈ దేహంతోనే దేవలోకాన్ని పొందాలని కోరుతూ నా శరణు వచ్చాడు।
