आत्मानं त्वभ्यनुज्ञातमवेक्ष्यार्तः स सारथिः।सुमन्त्रः पुरुषव्याघ्रमैक्ष्वाकमिदमब्रवीत्।।2.52.15।।
ātmānaṃ tv abhyanujñātam avekṣyārtaḥ sa sārathiḥ |
sumantraḥ puruṣavyāghram aikṣvākam idam abravīt ||
తనకు వెళ్లుటకు అనుమతి లభించిందని చూచి, శోకపిడితుడైన సారథి సుమంత్రుడు ఇక్ష్వాకువంశ-తిలకుడు, పురుషవ్యాఘ్రుడు శ్రీరామునితో ఈ వచనములు పలికెను।
